Or, How To See the World Through Prism Colored Glasses

Version three - fully engineered spring and re-designed body to accommodate bigger phones

One day in 2015, I took apart a projector and found this large cubic prism (also known as a dichroic cube). At the time I just shone light through it, but 6 years later, I realized that the magic was actually in viewing through it.

And with the discovery of smaller cubes, I wanted to be able to take trippy pictures whenever and wherever I wanted.

And thus, the Kaleidocube was born!

The cubes take an “image” from your left, right, and super impose it into one image in front of you, each with a different colored filter for each “image”.

Kaleidocube: Analog Filter for your Phone
$32.00

Dazzle your friends and take trippy photos with the Kaleidocube!

Clip me to your phone camera and transform the world around you, kaleidoscoped into mirrored images of itself, in notes of blues, reds, yellows, and greens!

It's not possible to get this effect digitally - the dichroic prism attached to the clip is where the magic is.

K'ube comes with a velvet bag for safe keeping.

VERSION 1

Original design idea was to be a “phone lantern”, and you could swivel the cube over and off.
